Me and all my friends we’re all misunderstood. They say we stand for nothing. There’s no way we ever could. Now we see everything is going wrong, with the world and those who lead it. Its hard to be persistant, when we’re standing at a distance, so we keep waiting (waiting). Waiting on the world to change. Now if we had the power to bring our neighbors home from war they would’ve never missed a Christmas. No more ribbons on the door. When you trust your television, what you get is what you got, cuz when when they own the information ooohhh, they can bend it all they want. So while we’re waiting (waiting). Waiting on the world to change. We keep on waiting (waiting). Waiting on the world to change. It’s not that we don’t care.We just know that the part ain’t fair, so we keep waiting (waiting). Michael Andreas Haeringer, un verdadero genio

A través de un alumo 2º de ESO me llegaron noticias de un pequeño gran genio, Michael Andreas Haeringer, que ahora tiene ocho años. Nació en Barcelona, pero es de origen alemán. Desciende de dos músicos legendarios del siglo XIX: el pianista y compositor húngaro Franz Liszt y la pianista alemana Sofia Menter. Si se consulta su árbol genealógico encontraremos también a Coelestine Popper, familiar del violonchelista. Nadie preparó a Michael para ser un virtuoso, nadie esperaba de él que lo fuera; sus padres no saben tocar ningún instrumento, ni siquiera tienen oído musical y a su madre jamás se le ocurrió, mientras estaba embarazada, poner música clásica de fondo. Y sin embargo, hoy, Michael Andreas Haeringer es un virtuoso del piano, un niño con talento reconocido por muchos profesionales, que ya ha recibido premios y éxitos.

Su madre, Hana Nathalie Bergmannn, que dedicó años de su vida al deporte de alta competición, pasa las tardes supervisando los ensayos de su hijo. El horario de Michael es brutal: se levanta a las 6.45 de la mañana, acude a la escuela alemana, al mediodía come en casa y a las 15.30 empieza a tocar. Se encierra con su plato de fruta, el techo del piano repleto de peluches y, ensimismado, estudia las obras sin descanso. A las 18.30 deberes, cena y a las 20, vuelta al piano hasta las 21.30.

«¿No teme que esté condenando a su hijo a un ritmo extremo, a una vida distinta a la del resto de niños?», le preguntamos. «Es que no podemos arrancarlo de allí. Si le quito el piano, llora sin conselo. Si le digo «¡basta!, no tocas más», se entristece. Es un castigo para él. ¿Qué voy a hacer?»

Sin duda estamos ante un verdadero genio que merece una reflexión… ¿Puede heredarse el talento? ¿Tiene la genética algo que ver o sólo cristaliza con esfuerzo? Aunque la música sea su pasión, ¿pensáis que un niño de 8 años debe estar tantas horas delante de un piano? ¡Deja tu comentario! :-)
